【Programme Overview and Objectives】
This program visits the ruins of the castle of the Murakami Kaizoku, Japan's greatest pirates who were responsible for the safety of the seas around Imabari during the Sengoku period (Warring States period). Visitors can also experience currents that can reach speeds of up to 10 knots.

(2) Guided tour of 'Noshima Castle Ruins: Landing & Tidal Current Experience' < 70 minutes >.

【Educational Effects】
・Learn about the Seto Inland Sea pirates who were active from the Nanbokucho (Northern and Southern Dynasties) to the Sengoku period.
・Learn about the Seto Inland Sea's tidal movements, which change four times a day, and how violent they can be.
・Visits to sites where cultural assets are being protected or investigated, and the experience of landing on an uninhabited island are available.
・Dietary education experience with sea bream, which grows in strong currents, or seafood BBQ can be arranged.
・Time required for the programme: 110 minutes
