Located on a small island off the coast of Mino-cho, Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, Tsushima Shrine is a guardian deity for children's health and growth.
Every year on August 4th and 5th, a bridge is built from the shore to the island for the Summer Festival*, and the island is crowded from early morning until night with visitors and their children.
The island can only be crossed once a year during this Summer Festival.
Tsushimanomiya Station on the JR Yosan Line is a temporary station that is open only during the Summer Grand Festival.
