Kurozo Marshland

黒沢湿原
Surrounded by mountains more than 600 meters above sea level, Kurozo Marshland is a beautiful marshland also known as “Shikoku no Oze” (Oze in Shikoku). The vast 26.7-hectare marsh slopes gently down to the Matsuo River in the south and is home to an abundance of rare aquatic plants, such as Oomizugoke, heron grass, Japanese knotweed, and yellow thistle, which are designated as natural treasures of the prefecture. The marshland has a walking course that is easy to explore, and visitors can cool off at the waterfall at the southern end. Why not spend a relaxing time in the clear water and lush greenery? (Designated as a natural monument by the prefecture on March 5, 1965)
