The Shimanami Kaido, which connects the islands of the Seto Inland Sea, is widely loved as a form of sustainable tourism that coexists with nature.
Its approximately 70-km-long cycling route is known as a “Cyclists’ Sanctuary” and was selected by the U.S. media outlet CNN as one of the Seven Best Bike Routes in the World.
Cycling is an environmentally friendly means of transportation that allows participants to experience the charm of nature at a relaxed pace. By pedaling along the beautiful coastline and traveling across islands of various sizes, participants can feel firsthand the importance of preserving the natural environment.
The purpose of this cycling exercise is to fully enjoy the region’s beautiful nature while gaining a deeper understanding of environmental conservation. The cycling route winds through citrus orchards nurtured by the mild climate and sea breeze of the Shimanami Kaido, allowing participants to explore the islands from a local perspective at a pace unique to bicycles and enjoy an exhilarating cycling experience.

※In the event of troubles such as a flat tire or mechanical issues, staff will promptly come to the site to provide support.
