This gorgeous hot spring village is located at the foot of Konpira-san ( Kotohira-gu Shrine).
In the vicinity are not only the famous Kotohira-gu Shrine and Kanamaru-za(Japan's oldest existing playhouse for kabuki), but also the Sake Museum, which was renovated from a sake brewery, the Sea Science Museum, and the town's History and Folklore Museum.
