Located at the entrance to Konpira-san (Kotohira Shrine), this is one of Kagawa Prefecture's representative sake breweries. The white-walled sake brewery from the time of its founding (1789) has been restored to its original state.
In the History Hall and Culture Hall, the sake brewing process in the Edo period (1600-1868) is explained and reproduced in an easy-to-understand manner using dolls and sake brewing tools of the time. There is also a video presentation and an exhibition of sake bottles, tokkuri, and labels. Visitors can also sample sake at the museum store.
