Fujio Hachiman Shrine

Fujio Hachiman Shrine sits on Mt. Fujio, a place of worship since ancient times.
This shrine is located on Mt. Fujio in Nishiueda-cho in the southern part of Takamatsu City,Kagawa Prefecture.
Fujio Hachiman Shrine sits atop the 163.8-meter-high mountain, and the entire mountain has long been considered both a shrine and a sacred site, attracting the faith of local residents. In the old days, there was no shrine, and the local people worshipped the mountain itself by looking up at it from the foot of the mountain.
The wisteria trellises planted in the nearby parking lot are a spectacular sight. The best time to visit is from the end of April to the beginning of May.
