Awai Shrine

粟井神社
Awai Shrine is one of the 24 Sanuki Engi-style shrines and has a long history.
Around 1985, the Awai community association and the city's event council started planting hydrangeas.
Today, about 3,000 colorful hydrangeas are in full bloom during June and July.
Every year in June, the "Hydrangea Festival" is held every June and attracts many visitors.
