Would you participate in the town's most exciting festival which is only held once a year?
The Sanuki Toyohama Chosa Festival is held for three days from the second Friday of October every year to pray for a good harvest and a bountiful fishing yield. You can see the portable shrines with Japanese traditional drums called "Chosa" gorgeously decorated with gold thread embroidery, and the sight of about 70 well-coordinated carriers that maneuver a single float with shouts of encouragement is a sight to behold.
