Okawahara Plateau (hydrangea, driving, starry sky/night view)

大川原高原(アジサイ、ドライブ、星空・夜景)
30,000 blue hydrangeas. Recommended for driving, night view, and astronomical observation.
The Okawahara Plateau in Sanakawachi Village, the only village in Tokushima Prefecture, is located at an altitude of 1,020 meters and covers an area of 120 hectares.
The gently sloping terrain is home to the village's pastureland, a forest for preservation of the living environment, and a 5-hectare colony of azalea trees.

The view from the summit is exceptional, with the Asan Mountains and Kii Waterway in the distance, and even Awaji Island on a clear day.
The clear air also makes it possible to enjoy the star-filled night sky and the night view of Tokushima below at night.

Because of its high elevation, the temperature is 4 to 5°C lower than in the city center, making it a cool summer resort even in mid-summer.
