Mt.Bizan(Mt.Bizan Park)

眉山(眉山公園)
Mt. Bizan, the symbol of Tokushima City, is a renowned mountain celebrated in the Man'yōshū poetry anthology with the verse: “Awa's mountain, like eyebrows, appears amidst the clouds.(眉のごと雲居に見ゆる阿波の山)”
The entire mountaintop area is designated as Mt. Bizan Park, featuring a memorial pagoda and observation rest facilities. The view from here is spectacular, offering a panorama of Tokushima city. On clear days, you can even see Awaji Island and the Kii Peninsula. The beautiful night view, with its expansive glow, is especially a must-see. Accessible via the Mt. Bizan Parkway, it's also a popular spot for couples.
Approximately 1,500 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees are planted within the park grounds, making it a renowned cherry blossom viewing spot. Around late March each year, viewing platforms are set up on the mountainside, bustling with nighttime cherry blossom viewing under the glow of paper lanterns. The autumn foliage is also beautiful, making Mt. Myoban a relaxing place to enjoy throughout all four seasons.
