Kamata Pond Park

Kamata Pond, located in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture, is a scenic spot renowned for its stunning cherry blossom trees lining the water's edge. Come spring, approximately 100 Somei Yoshino cherry trees bloom magnificently along the pond's shore for about 700 meters. Visitors are enchanted by the “cherry blossom tunnel” overhead, the inverted cherry blossoms reflected on the calm water surface, and the views of the Sanuki Plain. The pond's perimeter is about 1.6 km, making it a popular course for club running activities and morning/evening walks.
