Houen-ji Temple is a temple of the Jodo sect located in Busshozan, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. The name of the temple is "Busshozan".
Officially, the temple is called Busshozan Raigo-in Honen-ji Temple.
The principal image is a standing Amida Nyorai statue said to be by Honen(He was the founder of the Jodo sect of Buddhism, which has many followers in modern Japan. ). The temple is the second temple of the 25 sacred sites of Honen and the Daikokuten of the Sanuki Seven Deities of Good Fortune.
