The facility has been used as a soy sauce brewer for many years, and many parts of the building such as its beam materials are believed to have been made in the latter half of the 18th century.
It is also still using traditional tools such as shikomoke (the vat for making wine) and oshibune (a tool to filter the rice powder), which are no longer seen today.
