Kainokawa Rice Terraces

The Kainokawa Rice Terraces are located 13 km west of Susaki City on National Route 197, near the town hall.
The rice terraces are 100 to 200 meters wide, 1 km deep, and cover an area of more than 10 hectares.
It is said that the rice terraces of Kainokawa have only become known in the last ten years, partly due to the Candle Festival.
Historically, the rice terraces have lasted for about 400 years.
