A place not only for spectacular photos but also for socialising. 'Chichibu no Kai' clean-up activities

絶景写真だけでなく交流できる場所に。『ちちぶの会』清掃活動
For more than 25 years, the 'Chichibu no Kai' has been organising monthly clean-up days.
In 1995, when there was talk of reclaiming the Chichibugahama Beach, the group started cleaning activities with local volunteers, with the idea that 'to protect the sea, we first need to clean it up and have it recognised by others'.

Although there were only seven people at the beginning, the number of people who sympathised with the activities increased one by one, and now around 200 people, ranging from primary school students to 90-year-old, take part in the activities. Efforts have also been made to eliminate waste.

The activities of the Chichibu no Kai continue, with the goals of "creating a good relationship between the local people and visitors to Chichibugahama Beach through mutual understanding and respect" and "to continue to be a place where people will always come".

Date of activities: 1st Sunday of every month (in case of light rain).
※In case of cancellation due to rain, an announcement will be made on Instagram (#Chichibu no Kai) at least one hour before the start of the programme.
・Duration of programme: 1 hour.
・When held: all year round.
