The 28th Sacred Site Dainichi Temple

28番霊場 大日寺
The temple underwent reconstruction in 1997 and was built using only wooden frames without nails. Japanese cypress and pine were used in the construction process. The temple is well-known for its beautiful flowers that bloom throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy the cornelian cherry flowers in early spring, the weeping cherry blossoms around Higan in March, magnolia kobus flowers in front of the main hall, the jugatsuzakura (sakura that blooms in October) and Corall Berry from mid-October onwards.
