Kawashima Castle (Kawashima Park)

川島城(川島公園)
Ruins of a medieval mountain castle along the Yoshino River. The castle tower that can be seen today was restored in 1981.
The castle is said to have been built in the Warring States Period by Kawashima Hyoenoshin, a powerful local family. In 1585, with the arrival of Hachisuka Iemasa, the castle became one of the nine castles in Awa.

There is a Manyo Botanical Garden, tennis courts, etc., where visitors can take a stroll to view cherry blossoms.
Also located nearby is Zeniriji Island, famous for sunflowers and other flowers.
