Lake Kinsha

金砂湖
Lake Kinsha is a 7km-long artificial lake located between the Shikoku Mountains and the Hoosanmyaku Mountains.
The surface of the lake at an altitude of 290 meters reflects the green of the mountains and contrasts beautifully with the crimson Hirano Bridge.
The name of the lake comes from the fact that gold sand was extracted from Dozan River more than 1,300 years ago.
It is also famous for bass fishing.
Twice a year, in summer and autumn, the “Terano and Kinsha Lakeside Plaza Appreciation Festival” is held at Terano Lakeside Plaza and Kinshakohan Park.
