Museum where visitors can learn about the history of Iyotetsu (Matsuyama City's local railroad company)
The “Botchan Train Museum” introduces the history of Iyo Railway (commonly known as IYOTETSU), which has been accumulating since its foundation in 1887 (Meiji 20).
The museum displays a full-size replica of the “Botchan Train,” which ran for 67 years since its establishment, and also allows visitors to get up close and personal with rails, car parts, panels, and other exhibits, allowing them to get a closer look at the history of Iyo Railway. The museum is not only for railroad fans, but also for adults and children of all ages.
