ヤマサン醤油 醤の郷「馬木散策路」散策プラン
Yamasan Soy Sauce is a long-established soy sauce manufacturer that started business in 1846. There are 18 buildings on the premises, including ""Nagayamon"" and ""Syoyugura,"" which are designated as tangible cultural properties of Japan.
The company produces domestic re-brewed soy sauce, which is brewed over three years, domestic black bean (Tamba species) soy sauce made with beans only grown in Japan, and domestic round bean soy sauce, which is made using only beans from Kyushu.
The company also handles everything from olive cultivation to product processing, and sells Japan's first ""organic olive oil from Shodoshima"" and ""olive oil beauty essence"". Visitors can also enjoy sweets such as ice cream with soy sauce malt and Shodoshima olive soft serve ice cream. Two types of ""Hishio-don (rice bowl)""(1,500 yen each) are also available by reservation.

Visitors can learn about the history of Shodoshima and its industries such as soy sauce, tsukudani, somen noodles, and olives. Visitors can also enjoy tasting soy sauce and olive oil while touring the factory. (Please visit our website for more details.)
