Cape Ashizuri Lighthouse

足摺岬灯台
Cape Ashizuri is located at the southernmost tip of Shikoku, where you can actually see the curvature of the earth with its 270-degree view.
Cape Ashizurimisaki Lighthouse, built on top of a precipice, is one of the largest lighthouses in Japan and a symbol of this cape.
About 150,000 Japanese camellias are planted on the peninsula, and about 60,000 at the tip of the cape alone.
Be sure to stop by Kongofukuji Temple, the 38th temple of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage.
