Ritsurin Garden
Ritsurin Garden is a daimyo (feudal lord) garden, which was completed in 1745 over a period of one hundred years. Designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty, this spacious garden features 6 ponds and 13 landscaped hills. Although its unique exterior makes it look abandoned at first glance, this coffee shop is still in operation today. This brick building has been entirely handcrafted by the owner, from the exterior to the interior and procured items.Not only the building, but also the area decorated with stone sculptures is a must-see.

Omatsu Daigongen Shrine
This shrine is famous for a legend of a supernatural cat, and is nicknamed Nekogami-sama (lit. "cat god"). A variety of cat statues can be seen around the shrine, and around 10,000 auspicious Beckoning Cat figures offered to the shrine are displayed. People often come to pray for good test scores and success in other pass/fail endeavors.

Awa Odori Kaikan (Awa Odori Museum)

Bizan Ropeway

Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Studio
Twenty-Four Eyes is a movie based on the novel written by Shodoshima Island native, Tsuboi Sakae. Set in the turbulent period between 1928 and 1946, a year after the end of the war, this story describes the relationship of love and respect between a new teacher and her 12 students. Enjoy the nostalgic feel of the Showa period as you explore the wooden schoolhouse and other facilities built within the studio.

Rest stop "Roadside Station" Shodoshima Olive Park
This Greek-style park is constructed on the top of a hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea.
The spacious grounds are planted with about 2,000 olive trees and more than 130 different types of herb. You can use these to make your own sachet and potpourri at the Herb Craft-kan. There are many other herb-related items for sale at the Herb Shop Pukoriko.
The Olive Kinenkan has a restaurant where you can enjoy dishes using olive, and there are also many herb-related items collected here – great for souvenir shopping.
