防災学習プログラム ~命を守る~
Kuroshio Town is expected to be hit by Japan's largest tsunami at 34 meters. Nature provides blessings and sometimes brings great disasters.
This programme is a disaster prevention study to realize the importance of protecting one's own life.

【Programme Outline】
■Classroom lecture (30 minutes)
・Disaster prevention initiatives

■Fieldwork (60 minutes)
・Learn about the history of past tsunamis from stone monuments.
・Evacuation drills to tsunami evacuation towers.
・Check stockpiles and experience the space during an evacuation.

■Classroom lecture (30 minutes)
・Workshop, each group presents a summary
・Tasting emergency food
・Summary Lecture

Recommendations
Participants learn about the efforts of people who are highly aware of disaster prevention on a daily basis, for example, through evacuation drills to tsunami towers and inspections of stockpiles.
The post-event learning provides an opportunity to spontaneously learn about the disaster risks in their own community and the importance of life-saving actions.
