Kochi Prefectural Kochi Castle Museum of History, located right next to Kochi Castle, exhibits valuable historical materials and actual tools of the Yamauchi family, the feudal lords of the Tosa domain.
The museum also offers a variety of special exhibitions based on themes and seasons, as well as various hands-on events throughout the year.

Directions | Car: 15 minutes from Kochi IC on Kochi Expressway. *Please use the Kochi Park (Kochi Castle) parking lot or other nearby toll parking lots. *There are parking lots for disabled persons (2 spaces). JR: Take a streetcar from JR Kochi Station. Get off at Kochi Ekimae (for Harimayabashi) (approx. 5 mins) → get off at Harimayabashi and transfer to another tram. (*Please get a “transfer ticket” and change trains.) Harimayabashi (for Kagamigawabashi or Asakura or Ino, approx. 5 min.) → Kochi Castle-mae stop, approx. 2 min. walk. |
