A Healing Nan'yo Experience Program
The history of Uwajima kamaboko dates back to the Edo period. Our shop still upholds the traditional taste, making "Uwajima Jakoten" by hand-dismantling small fish, making surimi with a stone mill, and frying it in rapeseed oil. We also produce a variety of other famous products such as steamed kamaboko and baked chikuwa. In particular, you can experience making "Uwajima Jakoten" yourself in our workshop using the traditional method passed down through generations with bamboo spatulas and wooden frames.
