Awa Sand Pillars

Awa Sand Pillars were formed over many years by the uplift of earth and sand accumulated from ancient times and the erosion of rainwater.
In 2017, it was selected as one of the "Shikoku 88 Views", a wonderful landscape where you can feel Shikoku.
Of the several earthen pillars that can be observed, "Hato-gatake" was designated as a national natural monument on May 1, 1934.
